Jim Lahm has served as a partner at Babush, Neiman, Kornman & Johnson for 26 of his 31 years as a financial services professional, specializing in taxation, business valuation, small business consulting and helping connect technical service needs with client understanding. He operates from a simple, core philosophy: asking the right questions is the way to uncover the most meaningful answers.
Applying this philosophy to an entrepreneurial outlook and a direct approach, Jim takes complex, technical issues and breaks them down into simple, easy to manage components that his clients can implement and leverage. This is especially helpful to business owners who want to know about tax planning strategies, financial options, innovative opportunities and creative productivity methods.
As a strong believer in lifelong learning and an avid reader, Jim continually pursues advanced education in tax, valuation, accounting and consulting disciplines. In addition to his CPA license, he is an ABV (a CPA Accredited in Business Valuation), a CFF (a CPA Certified in Financial Forensics) and holds a BS in Accounting from Kean College (now Kean University). He is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Though he never really had plans to become a financial professional, Jim began working in the field in college and found it immensely satisfying – so much so that he kept on doing it. He really enjoys helping clients feel that their financial lives are working for them and are in good order.
Originally from Columbia, SC, Jim and his wife, Bernadette, now live in Roswell, Georgia where they are often seen out on the town trying new restaurants and enjoying fine wine. Jim also spends his leisure time pursuing his lifelong love of music, as well as enjoying golf, visual arts, and travel.
