Jan Crockett is a Tax Manager at BNKJ, helping clients with their individual, business, and trust and estate taxation issues. She is adept in helping clients with the complex needs of partnerships, with a special focus on high net worth individuals and closely held businesses, and has an exceptional depth of experience serving trusts and estates with their planning, charitable giving and family business matters.
In addition to working closely with her trust and personal wealth clients, she manages the tax and financial work for physicians, lawyers, engineers, entertainers, real estate investment companies, commercial real estate firms, towing companies, restoration companies, and medical research companies.
Bringing more than 30 years of accounting and finance experience to her role, she has previously served in positions that include Bank Branch Manager, Personal Banking Officer, Training Director and Instructor for the Becker CPA Review. Jan is a member of the AICPA and Georgia Society of CPAs.
Jan gravitated to finance and accounting in school, and found the work a natural fit. Her work is extremely satisfying and she has a constant appreciation for her role in consulting and managing financial affairs.
Not surprisingly, money management is one of Jan’s many interests and talents. She also loves dancing and socializing, and is learning how to play both the guitar and the piano. Jan enjoys tennis, golf, trivia and shopping. While she does not at this point participate in any competitive shopping events, she is involved with Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association (ALTA) teams, USTA and frequently competes with her favorite trivia team.
Originally from Ohio and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Jan earned an undergraduate degree with high honors in business, with an emphasis in accounting, before migrating south. She now lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband of 30 years. The couple has an adult son, also in the financial field, who is currently pursuing his MBA at Georgia Tech.
