Richard Towes is an Audit Manager at BNKJ. He brings close to two decades of public accounting experience to his role helping middle market clients with their financial statement audit and corporate taxation needs. Using a hands-on approach to provide clients with efficient and sound business advice, Richard serves clients in diverse industries that include retail, distribution, professional services and insurance.
An active volunteer in his East Atlanta Village community, Richard has served in leadership positions including treasurer and director of the YouthSpark organization (formerly the Juvenile Justice Fund) since 2008. This Atlanta non-profit works closely with the metro area juvenile court systems to address the complex needs of children and families involved in the system, and has taken a leading role in combating child sex trafficking in Atlanta and around the country.
Originally from New York City, Richard earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Rutgers University before heading south to Atlanta. Richard is married and enjoys golfing, hiking and is a frequent international traveler who can converse easily in Spanish and German.
